Shed 5 Fast Contest

As the New Years brings resolutions, I wanted to motivate all my mamas with a fitness resolution! Willpower works for very few people so I encourage using motivation (check out the top 10 fitness tips at the top).

From January to March 15th you can win $250 and a chance to be in my next video! How? By submitting your Shed 5 Fast story. And the best story wins--not necessarily the most weight loss, but the most motivating story!

Details for the Shed 5 Fast Contest

And the best part is Shed 5 Fast is 20% off through the end of January!!!!

Hi Lindsay, I have a question: I have calculated my BMR to be 1432 but I find I need to eat more calories than that. I am currently breastfeeding so I know that I would probrably have to add another 300 to 500 calories a day for that and I am also exercising to your dvd's 5 to 6 times a week. I find I need to eat probrably 2300 calories a day to feel that I am not starving (and I am losing about 1 to 2 pounds per week right now). Prior to pregnancy and breastfeeding I found I could eat around 1800 to 1900 calories with exercise and lose weight. Does this sound right? I'm not sure how seriously I should take the BMR calculation since I am so hungry on that amount (eating healthy meals as per your new book). Also, when you reach your weight loss goal do you have to keep up the workout program to 5 or 6 times a week or can you cut it down to 3 to 4 times a week? I really appreciate your feedback!!
Also, I hope you're doing okay with your pregnancy and Rylan is doing well. Keep us posted!!

Melissa, you are doing awesome! Working out and losing 1-2 pounds a week, way to go.

BMR only calculates your metabolic rate at rest, menaing it does not incorporate the extra work your body is doing while breastfeeding and/or exercising. So when I add how many caloires you need with breastfeeding and exercise to your BMR you should be right around 2300. And it sounds like it's working perfectly for you!

Next week the software will be able to calculate your BMR + exercise, but right now it doesn't. So keep up the good work and eating 2300 calories (any less wouldn't be good for you while BF). And yes once you get to your goal 3-4 times a week is perfct!

Hi Lindsay, I am choosing what DVDs to order and wanted to check that the Shed 5 Fast was safe for those with a diastisis. My plan is to do the CFS Method and S5F. Thanks!

Thanks Lindsay. Good, I'm glad I'm not going overboard with the calories. I have a 4&1/2 month old boy and he sure gets hungry!! I just got your Dance Jam DVD in the mail today as well and looking forward to adding that to my program!!

Rachel, Shed 5 Fast does not have any DR modifications on it. But the CFS Method and Boot Camp 2 have all the DR stuff on it. So be cautious with Shed 5 Fast...no crunches, planks or twisting with the DR until there is no pain and the DR is gone! Maybe use the CFS in place of all the core stuff on Shed 5...let me know if you ahve any questions!
