Lose the Baby Weight, Round 2

So Rylan has been home for 3 days now, he's 1 week old! He's amazing.

I feel better everyday. I weighed myself the day I got home from the hospital...what...only lost 6 pounds! That's Rylan plus a lil' fluid! But today I did all my measurements and my weight and I am down to 122 from 136. We all know the easier part of getting our bodies back after baby is getting to pre-pregnancy weight. Now getting to pre-pregnancy body, well that's a whole different story!

Each week I will post my measurements, weight and a little video/picture that shows all! For now (my measurements are written on paper across the room and this is the first time I have sat down all day!) chest=big, waist=big, goal=108 lbs, current weight=122 lbs

With this pregnancy I started off at 108 lbs. before the IVF, was 112 lbs. when I got pregnant and 136 lbs. the day I went into the hospital. With Taylor (babes #1) I was 111 lbs. before IVF, was 121 lbs. when I got pregnant and 140 lbs. the day I went into the hospital. So a lil' less work this time around!

  1. you look awesome girl! hope maternity leave gives you the break you need and deserve! and this is such a great motivator for people to see exactly how to get a pre-pregnancy body back! you should post what workouts you do every day too... maybe a food journal too each day. that would be extra motivating!

  4. i'll definitely post my workouts and my breastfeeding food journal (which is way different than my usual food journal--my "unpregnant and unbreastfeeding food journal is on www.momsintofitness.com/recipes).

  5. That'd certainly be something I bet people would be willing to buy - your personal 12 week (or however long) complete food journal and exact workout schedule for getting your body back. I know I would purchase it!! I think posting the whole thing for free is quite a lot of work for you, isn't it?!

  6. Congrats on the baby. I wonder what makes us sometimes swell and sometimes not. I did with 2/3.
    Good luck!

I can't wait to follow your getting you body back take 2... so so exciting!!! I'm also super excited about your food intake and quantities since I'm a little smaller than you height wise... it'll be a nice footstep guide for me to follow in once my daughter's born!! YAY!

  8. It looks like this time around you have a lot less work to do, no? You look a lot skinner and a lot less tired!

  9. You are correct! I started this pregnancy off at 112, with Taylor I started off at 119.

So I guess we'll see if it happens quicker this time! So far baby #2 is easier so I am a lot less tired...

  11. YAY thanks! - can't wait to see your food journal :)!!! I started my preg with my son at 114 and this time around at 109 - according to my ideal weight on your site I should be 97 and I've always liked that weight me. Even 100 is ok and up to 104 if I'm going to the gym and hitting the weights... I really am so motivated just based on your photos and your amazing transformation from last time.

Just wanted to take a moment to thank you (I'm pregnant and sappy today, lol)

    big hugs!!!

  12. Thanks for posting your journey. I know it will be so helpful to a lot of people. Just the motivation that we need. It is so refreshing to see a fitness person talk about her "real" story. I commend you on that. I have been using your dvds for a couple of months now and I LOVE them. I feel like I can relate to you...if that makes any sense. :) Thanks again for your real life story! And btw, you look fabulous for just one week postpartum! Congrats on the new little guy!

  14. Hi Lindsay,
Your son is beautiful - congratulations! :) I have a quick question - I am about to purchase your Shed 5 Fast and Dance Jam off of the Babysteals website - I am currently 9 weeks pregnant with my 3rd - is this combined workout something you would recommend for pregnancy? I usually keep a pretty consistent workout schedule but honestly haven't had time/energy to make it to the gym since I found out about this baby. Thanks so much for your input!

  15. Joanna, congrats on #3! I wish I could be of more help, but I do not recommend Shed 5 Fast or Dance Jam during pregnancy-only after!

But I hear ya on the too tired/busy to get to the gym!
