Love everything about breast feeding! Especially the weight loss benefits.
Lindsay,
Can I do pilates every day, or is that considered toning?
Is using light one/two pound weights while doing cardio something that should be done on toning days, or can that be done every day?
I want to be sure I'm taking care of my body!
I hope your body is recovering from surgery.
Thanks!
Lindsay,
I realized I should specify that I meant general pilates, not your core workout video, which I have and know is for every other day.
Thanks!
Generally Pilates can be done most days of the week. That said, some Pilates classes should be done like any other toning activity - I wish I was a fly on the wall so I could see the Pilates workout you are doing! Then i coudl give you a straight answer.
And yes, you should be able to add your 1-2 lb weights on your cardio days...I am imagining you use them as extra resistance when walking, swimming, jogging etc.
And yes, recovering well. Thanks for the shout out!
Lindsay:
We're both up too early (you more so than me).
The pilates I'm doing is more like a ballet floor barre. I skip the ab exercises so that they're every other day.
Glad to know you're recovering. Hopefully you're sleeping too!
Good girl on skipping the abs so they are every other day! You should be fine with the ballet floor barre as long as you never feel like you are overtraining.
P.S. I am usually not such an early riser...I am paying for it today - need some toothpicks to keep gthe eyelids open!
Thanks for the pilates/floor barre information!
Sweet dreams tonight, I hope.
