15 Weeks Pregnant with #3

So if you are on my Facebook Fan Page you saw that I felt like a hussie over the weekend! I was standing in line at the grocery store with 2 1/2 year old Taylor crying because she wanted to sit in the front of the cart. But Rylan (11 months) was currently occupying that spot. The 2 women chuckled and asked me how close the kids were in age, then saw my belly. Talk about feeling like a hussie!

Ah well, I am blessed...and super excited I look pregnant and not just bloated! The pregnancy God has answered a few of my requests, but I have decided to add a few:
8. Produce some more fabulous swimsuit coverups to hide my fresh post-preg bod this summer.
9. I cannot solve the worlds problems at 4am, so if we could get rid of that bathroom break it might help me with request #6 (see below). No sleep = crabby.
10. No more Cole Slaw cravings! It's hard to find good coleslaw and when it's bad I lose my appetite. I was better off with Chicken Salad sandwiches and Tomato soup cravings!

My nutrition is getting back on track. And the workouts are more frequent. I headed back to my 5am Friday group workouts and realized how much I missed seeing all the other crazy moms that early in the morning! Although I had a massive breakfast afterwards: oatmeal, a pear and a piece of cinnamon toast with peanut butter (not including the apple I ate on the way to workout). Given, my body was telling me I needed to replace some energy for the baby, but I am so used to eating 1/2 of that for breakfast!

Other than that lunch is back to soup and salad or pasta with veggies and chicken, while dinner is whatever I can get down (nightime is where my morning sickness still lies). But snack time has turned into my favorite time! It's where I allow my extra 400+ calories (depending if I worked out or not). Today was a smoothie from Smoothie King, which is usually a quick lunch for me or a meal replacement. One of the few perks of pregnancy for me (well that and having a baby)!

P.S. how are my Shed 5 Fast Challenge gals doing? And New years resolutions? I am here to answer any questions you might have! Although I can't promise to be punctual in answering, I try to work on MWF only and what doesn't get done gets pushed to the next week...which tends to be half of my to-do list being pushed into the next week and the next week and the next week!

    I think you & I were preg both times in the past. How old is Taylor? Ryder is 3 just turned on Dec 23rd.

    When did you find out you were preg with this little bean?! I'm so thrilled for you! So so so happy that you didn't have to jump through hoops and go through IVF :)

    I sent in my pix for the challenge - ahhhh! Wish me luck - haha.

  2. I am trying to break through a plateau I hit several months ago. I have added one 2x/day and I have been working my way through the monthly workouts adding running to the regular stuff in a few spots. Any other suggestions?

  3. Well loved the challenge last year but debating wether I'm up to it this year since I just had my baby 2 1/2 months ago and just getting into your bootcamp DVDs.

  4. We are still TTC but sadly I wanted to start your Shed 5 Fast routine this past Monday and I got a very serious stomach virus that had me in the ER and running temps of 106. It was SCARY!!! I probably shouldn't jump into it this coming week until I get my full strength back but even if I can't enter the actual challenge I will do it as soon as I get my energy back up!
    If I do find out I'm am pregnant, should I continue the challenge or switch to something more mild? Oh can't wait to jump on the wagon with you and be preggers! :)

  5. Mindy, congrats on the new baby! I totally understand if you are just starting with BC. Do what you are ready for!

    First Time Mom, I hate the words TTC! But I know it will happen for you! Hope you ar feeling better. We are all under the weather at my house. Definitely listen to your body and start when you feel ready! When you do get pregnant you should switch to pregnancy workouts for sure.

    Bethany, I hate plateaus! Do you think you might be overtraining? Sometimes our bodies hold onto everything when too much is going out and not enough coming in. Are you getting enough calories? Do a food and workout journal for 7 days and let me know what it looks like!

    Vanessa, I do think we've been pregnant at the same time. Rylan is almost a year and Taylor will be 3 in May. Baby Fever...it's hard not to have!

  6. Awww, yep - been preg both times with you. Ryder turned 3 in Dec. But he was 2 months early (due in Feb).

    I can't believe it's been almost a year since you had Rylan! My daughter is 9 months!!! Feels like just yesterday I was looking at you 1st few photos of getting your body back the 2nd time. Amazing!!!

  7. Congrats on baby #3! That's amazing and isn't God good? I have just started back into my exercise routine today actually. I am now 7 weeks after the birth of my fourth little bundle of joy. And yes, I know what you mean about the looks you get in the grocery store lane. My oldest is 4, then 3, 20 months, and 7 weeks! Used all your dvd's after my last child and soo eager to get back into them. I did not have diastisis recti this go round and wow what a difference! Anyway, I was wondering what type of scale you use? Our old one bit the dust and it's always so hard to find one that you can trust. Glad your getting your energy level back some!

    So glad you didn't have the DR this last time, that's awesome. My scale is from Bed Bath and Beyond, Taylor brand. It's very consistent (well sometimes it shows I gained more than I'd like:)

  9. I know this is an old post, but I just discovered you and I'm excited to start your DVDs... 2nd trimester here! And don't worry, I'm a hussy too! My oldest is 4 1/2, next is gonna be 3 in May and my youngest turned 1 in Jan... oh yeah, and I'm due in August! That puts my oldest just under 5 when I deliver!! Excited for my journey, and good luck with your's!!

  12. My husband and I have 5 kids that were born in a span of 7 years, so I know what you mean. Our last 4 were born in 5 years! Also, being 27 when #5 came about made everyone think we were crazy - but I wouldn't trade it for the world! Now I have an 8 year old, 5 year old, 4 year old, 2-1/2 year old and 9 month old! Wishing you the best with this pregnancy!
