17 Weeks Pregnant with #3

Ahhh...the symptoms are slowly going away. Some nightly nasuea, but I can't complain! Although our household seems to be under the weather. The kids both have a terrible virus with high fevers and I have some undefined virus with a fever. I just wish the kids wanted to watch what I want to watch while we lay down and snuggle...enough Backyardigans and "hot dog hot dog hot diggity dog..."

So here is where I am measuring in: pre-prego, 14 weeks and 17 weeks:
Weight: 105, 109, 111
Arm: 9.75, 10, 10.25
Bust: 30.5, 33, 32.5
Shoulders: 35, 35, 35
Waist: 25, 32.25, 32.75
Below navel: 30, 33.75, 33.75
Hips: 33.5, 36, 36
Leg: 18.75, 20.5, 20.5

And I did not get my trip to the beach (yet)...just had an air brush tan before a video promo filming I did on Monday! Hence the nice color in the picture. Wish I liked paying $40 and shedding brown paint every week...it sure does make me look better!

  1. Im right there with you at 22 weeks, except I stopped measuring :) It so worth it in the end! Congrats on your pregnancy and for being a fitness role model to us all!

  2. Sorry I didn't mean to click "done" yet! I have been studying for my NASM personal training certificate and I just wanted to let you know that EVERYTHING you teach is so spot-on. I love ready new material and saying "Oh I already learned that from Lindsay!"

I also started teaching aerobics to my church group twice a week and I love using different moves and tips from you. I think the ladies are really enjoying it too!

  3. So cute!!! I love your little belly! I want one :)

  4. Oh you look fantastic! I love that your arms are still toned. That was my goal last pregnancy to have toned arms the entire time, didn't really work, but I tried!

  5. Congrats and you look great! I'm 28 weeks today and have gained 20 pounds... Although total for #1 was 67, so I'm not complaining. Thank you for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester workout DVDs. I get to start 3rd today!! So exciting!

  6. i'm very ill right now and can't exercise. should i just follow my bmi requirements or should i eat as normal? i don't want to undo the good i've done, but i don't want to be even more tired and hungry.

  7. You all are too sweet!

And a note to all of you when you are sick. If the sickness is below your throat (bronchitis, throwing up etc.) it's best not to workout...and of course eat what you can and stay hydrated.

If your sickness is above your throat and you feel ok you should be able to continue working out, as long as you don't run a high fever. You can probably maintain your current eating habits - whether it be for weight loss or weight maintenance.

If you are pregnant and sick you just need to listen to your body and feed it what it wants i.e. sleep, water, soup!

  8. i should have provided more specific information about the nature of my illness, although i'm sure to need the information you gave at some point!
i've stopped taking an antidepressant and am going through rather severe withdrawal symptoms (dizziness, nausea, and exhaustion) - it's like i'm pregnant all over again! :)
i don't feel like i can safely exercise, but wasn't sure what adjustments i should make. i was doing 30 minutes of cardio and toning every other day and eating between 1500 and 1600 calories. i weigh 120ish pounds and am 5'5

  9. I wish I had a better answer for you, but I think your doctor can answer it best. I am so glad you are making adjustments since you feel yuck (oh to feel pregnant when you're not:)

I think your routine and caloric intake are just right. But the feelings you're having may be common after coming off an antidepressant. If it is still happening several weeks later (which could be now since it took me so long to respond) we can definitely look further into yoru eating/ex routine.

  10. How tall are you?
