Let's make it 3 outta 4...I'm pregnant!

So the last 2 out of 3 New Years Resolutions included Getting my Body Back. And it's time to make it 3 out of 4!

I am 13 weeks pregnant and just starting to make a turn from gloom. The insomnia, headaches, throwing up and constant nausea showed up again. But I think it was even worse than when I went through IVF! Yep, I am "that" story. No IVF or fertility treatments this time! After 3 IVF's to get Taylor, a vansihing twin, 2 IUI's and 1 IVF to get Rylan, I never thought I would be that story!

So when I am able to eat all I want is Ramen noodles, Tomato Soup, Pickels, BBQ Sauce, Chips, Chicken Salad and fruit. I do my best to fill up with something to balance the bucket of Tomato Soup and pickles. But sometimes it just doesn't happen. I wish I could say I am craving fruit instead of chocolate because I only allow myself fruit (gotta counterbalance all the other bad stuff somewhere!) - but I think I just got lucky there! Truth is, you need to eat what your body is craving since your body is smart! It tells you what your body lacks, and I don't mean you lack a #2 superszied meal 3 days a week, I am talking about my body telling me it needed some sodium. I am sure your body tells you what it needs when you're pregnant too.

I cannot wait to start eating normal again and working out on my usual schedule. So I am hoping by next week I can buh-bye to all this yuck feeling! I promise to keep you all updated as I go! If you want to know how much you should gain during your first trimester or why you shouldn't add 300 extra calories until your 2nd trimester check out these links http://www.momsintofitness.com/exercise-pregnancy#q8 and http://www.momsintofitness.com/pregnancy-nutrition

  2. CONGRATS!!!!
I am due w/ our 3rd boy next month, and I can't WAIT to get my body back. Actually, my husband got me your boot camp dvd for Christmas. :)
My morning sickness lasted too long, and I went from barely eating carbs to carbs being the ONLY thing I could tolerate. White rice cooked in chicken broth. Bla.

I didn't know you were expecting and am so happy for you. Congrats again! And I sure hope you're feeling better asap.

  6. Yay, big congratulations!!!! You're just 3 weeks behind me which makes me really excited! I would love it if you posted what workouts you do so I could follow along (and all the other pregnant women out there). I've been doing your modified boot camp workout, although not consistently as sometimes I feel so sick that I can't but I'm trying. That and the elliptical (2 min slow, 1 min fast) for about 32 min. But again probrably only 2 times per week but I would like to get it up to 4 times per week. Will you be posting your weight as well? That'd be a nice comparison too to keep in check :) Will the workout downloads still be coming monthly? Pregnant workouts? Congratulations again Lindsay.

  10. Congratulations! I'm due in about 4 weeks and was really sick for the first 20. Hopefully it doesn't last that long for you. It was impossible to work out feeling that lousy. I can't wait to get back to jogging again. I miss it so...

  12. Yay!!! Yay!! Yay! That is wonderful news. So happy for you! I hope you get to feeling better really soon. The nausea got worse with each pregnancy for me - - by number 3, I had my head in the toilet every single day, and I have not forgotten that yuck feeling. Take care of yourself and feel better soon!

  14. So happy to know I am not the only "worthless" one during the 1st trimester! Misery loves company! I am definitely more sick this time around, and no injections, weird! I just hope it doesn't last 25 weeks like it did with Taylor.

I love hearing from everybody and your stories. Cannot wait for summer, it's on!

I have had a lot of quesries about the downloads...we still have 2 in post-production, so you will see Core Cardio and Old School coming out with me not-pregnant (although it seems I was pregnant filming Old School). After that you will have to deal with my belly. INTESNSITY will be the same, I will have my producer use some post-prodcution magic with my reps and such!

Melissa, all we can do is try. I'm with you! Sometimes I try for 5 minutes and return right back to bed.

I will be posting my workouts, weight and measurements-yikes!
