36 weeks prego with #3, EEK stop the weight gain!

That's it, I am totally guilty of giving into almost all of my cravings.  And we all know what happpens when we do that!  a) we don't lose weight when non-pregnant b) we gain 4 lbs. in a week when pregnant!

So I know, I know.  It's summer, it's blood volume, it's swelling, it's the baby packing on the lbs.  It's 2 weeks of gaining nothing and WHAM.  But it's also me eating way too much!  What happened?  My last 2 pregnancies there wasn't enough room to eat more than a cracker at 1 sitting.  And this time I can eat the house in 1 sitting.  It's because she dropped...I am going to go with that:)

Ah well, 27 lbs at 36 weeks is pretty good.  Just hoping it's not 31 lbs when I go to the doc next week!  Beacuse I can't stand the sight of my legs in shorts right now!

  1. I'm 2.5 mos post baby #3 and I couldn't agree more. I was SOOOO tired of being preggo! You look great even though you say you've gained 4 lbs....I can't even tell. I'm working through your 60 day slim down. 3 weeks in and 7lbs down and 2 inches off my "muffin top..."...yay! Still have a ways to go, but your plan is working. Hang in there!! I so feel your pain :)

  3. Hey Lindsay, I'm exactly the same height as you (5 foot 1.5 inches) and started off my pregnancy at 105 lbs. I did my best to exercise and eat healthy but I still gained 38 lbs. I was pretty upset about it, and I still have 5 lbs to go now, 12 months post pregnancy :-( I think for our height, 27 lbs at week 36 is AWESOME!!!

  4. You look great Lindsay. When do you usually start working out post partum? I am 8 days post partum with #3 and honestly feel like I could start now! What do you recommend? I really don't want to wait until 6 weeks. By the way, I didn't have a c-section, so hoping I can start sooner.

  5. Just started working out to your 60-Day Slim-Down DVDs. Only wish I had known about them sooner! My second baby is now 13 months old, so I am using them to lose that last 6 lbs that has clung to me. I love that the workouts are short and have lots of cardio! You are kicking my butt!

    You are such an inspiration to me. I know that is so cheese-ball to say, but it really does help me to see that you have been pregnant twice and still get your body back afterwards. And that you are pregnant now and still find the time to workout is so awesome! Now, if you'd just give yourself that much-needed sleep! :-) I'm with you; it's hard to do, especially with other kids to watch. I have to force myself to take a naps occasionally, and I'm not prego! I just get so cranky without my sleep -- and baby still sometimes keeps me up at night between all the illnesses his sister brings home from preschool.

  6. Chantal, I always wished I had a few more inches on me! But we get what we get! My husband is 6'4" so its always funny putting us side-by-side. Only 5 lbs to go...good work!

    Just another-my doc says 4 weeks for vaginal deliveries and 6 weeks for c-sections. But whatever your doc says is what you have to do! But I know the feeling. Start wiith walking and gradually up it to speed walking. And there are some pelvic floor movements to wake up that core on my website www.momsintofitness.com > click get the skinny > click post-pregnancy > click exercise and you will see movements for weeks 0-6!

    Leah, I am sure the 6 lbs will be gone in no time! Glad I could help! Oh I am a bear without my sleep and I am starting to realize I need my naps just to prevent the crankiness:)
