4 Days Post-Baby #3

So we are home from the hospital and the 3rd c-section is proving to be a little tougher in the recovery stage.  Luckily I have my mom here and the most helpful husband!  Rylan (16 months) just hates that I cannot pick him up so I am in charge of Harper and myself most of the time.  Everything is a little more painful this time around...even getting out of bed.

Thought I would post a few post-preg pics!  No swelling after birth, just a little pudgy/mushy EVERYWHERE.

But so far #3 seems to be an easy addition.  Given she is still in the "sleep most of the time" stage!

  2. Congrats! Glad your mom is helping you...I couldn't have done it w/o my Mother-in-law. She's helped me for 2 weeks after each of my babies :) Yay for moms!

  3. Thanks for checking in! Try to take it easy while you have wonderful helpers around. Let your body heal. Recovery was longer the third time around for me too.

  5. Congrats! As I am at 28wks with my fourth, I am looking forward to my pre-pregnancy weight. I am new to your site, but love the more intense workouts. I miss my 6 mi. runs in the morning. I have been like clockwork with the other three children having them due date only so... I will endure the next 12 weeks of heat. You look great and it won't be long till you have your body back!

  6. Congratulations!! You look fabulous. I just discovered your blog after ordering your post-natal workout DVD, and was excited to see that you just had a baby too! I had baby #5 last week (June 22) and am excited about getting back in shape. Thanks for the inspiration!

  7. You look great for 4 days out - keep on top of your pain meds, I took mine every 6 hours and that helped a lot! Also, I don't see the 'mommy apron' from a c-section... or overhang, do you have it or were you lucky not to get that? Best of luck in juggling everyone :)

  8. Just out of curiosity do you have any stretch marks? I didn't get any the first time, but my second time around I notice them creeping up:( boo

  9. Congrats Lindsey! Take care of yourself. Having three under three is hard - wonderful but challenging trying to make everyone happy all of the time. Best of luck!

  10. thanks all! 4 weeks out tomorrow and starting to feel a lil stronger, although tired!

for those of you who asked...i did not get any strect marks. my mom doesn't have any either and they tend to be very genetic in nature. so good stretch mark genetics and a steady weight gain is what i chalk that up to!

and i do have that fupa, mom apron! its hard to see since i wore a white suit on a white background. it protrudes out about 1.5-2" and has gone down already. with my first 2 c-sections it was not very noticeable by 3 or 4 months, just some thick scar tissue.
