  1. Ohhhh Lindsay. This video is exactly why I think we'd be BFF in real life! I love how 'real' you are when you talk to your fans. I feel like if we went to coffee at Starbucks, we could gab for hours!! :) Thank you for your honest to goodness comments & opinions about how "real" it is to be a mom. Even my MOPs group has asked if we could have you as a guest speaker for this reason! Too bad we don't live closee!

Love the idea of the portal with daily workouts! Such a smart idea, especially for those of us who need to be told what to do & when. That's why I loved the 60DSD calendar!

Hubby is home from deployment and we're resuming fertility treatments for #2. Wish us luck!! :) Thanks again for always being an inspiration.

  2. Lindsay, I just love you girl!!! And wowsers, your abs look AMAZING already! I know you're frustrated - but I am SO impressed! My baby weight is gone, but I never had abs BEFORE baby, so trying to get them AFTER baby is so crazy difficult. But I'm working at it!

I LOVE the portal idea - I'm following your 60DSD right now and totally love having someone tell me what to do each and every day - it keeps me motivated!

You are such a blessing and inspiration - thanks for sharing your journey with us, and for being so real!

  5. You make me feel like getting my pre- baby body is possible! Thank you for being so real and down to earth! I love your idea on telling us what to do exactly each day! Since baby brain doesn't seem to go away quickly the less I have to think about the better! Love all of your videos and thank you again for being so amazing!! You give me hope! Haha!

  6. Lindsay, I would definitely use the 'portal' where you set us an exercise prescription for the day! I am 9 months post-baby #1 and I am only just starting to find the motivation/energy to get back into exercise. I am trying to use your baby #3 body come back as a motivator. Although I just ate ice-cream while watching your video...??!!! I'll have to work that off tonight...... Thanks for the inspiration & honesty :)

  7. I love your video posts. makes me feel so much better :) Funny thing, my measurements are almost exactly to the T of yours now. aside for the fact that im almost 3 years post baby and an inch shorter than you. but it makes me feel better that there are others struggling like i am, and the lack of weight loss or lack of inches lost or the bad week of too much extra food is part of life and as long as i do something about it, im not doomed. thank you for all the motivation, i am following through with exercise for the first time in my life, and hoping to see results sooner than later, but results i never thought i would ever be able to see. thank you for being so honest. i would send some pictures of my progress but with the stretch marks that came along with my pregnancies, i am just a tad bit, well a bit more :) self conscious.

  8. Hey Lindsay,
So excited for you that the scale is starting to budge - yahoo!!! I think the portal is an excellent idea, too. A lot of us mommies would benefit from it, I think. Sometimes it's easy to get into a workout rut and lose the passion and intensity for getting a hard-core workout, so I think the portal idea sounds like it will really help prevent us from getting into ruts and keep things fresh and fun :).

And I'm so glad you post those measurements. Sometimes it takes awhile to see change, and just seeing how committed you are even when the scale isn't budging encourages me so much. Sometimes when you're losing weight after baby it can feel like the post baby bod is far away lol...so seeing you're committment inspires me to stay committed :)

  9. You are a lovely girl and I know I speak for all of us reading your blog could be all of our best friend. Love the idea of the portal. Loved your comment about gaining 20lb after losing control I'm an emotional eater and can go through periods of what the heck and it's very distructive. You are right if mom is happy so is the family. We have to be the heart beat of our family so it's nice or even essential to take time to ourselves and get our buzz back from working out. Better than Prozac. I think you would be surprised how much good you are doing for us mums you are an inspiration to feel good physically and mentally. Keep it up x x x

  10. Please keep working on the portal idea. I will LOVE to have something like this to follow. It would make my life easier knowing exactly what exercise to do and when. Love the idea!!

  11. Lindsay, I too am so blown away with your honesty. Thank you so much for all you do here an on your website. You're an amazing role model for me and other moms.

CFS works and has already changed my body drastically. I'm so grateful for your fb group and getting my body back. Love you tons!

The Portal idea sounds awesome! I can't say I'll follow it exclusively but I already feel a sense that I've been working out with you. Keep up the awesome work!

Oh, and I've been featured at SITS an awesome blogging community of women and featured my post doing your challenge .)

  12. I love how real you are Lindsay. I know it's been a struggle for you this time, but seeing your upbeat attitude is so refreshing. My second son was born just 4 days after Harper so I'm about as far out as you. My OB released me to workout as soon as I felt up to it so I started your 60-day slimdown about 3 weeks post-partum and my results so far are fantastic. I have about a week left but my day 50 measurements have me down 13 pounds and 21 inches. So I obviously have great success with you telling me what to do. When I wrap up the slimdown I'm going to mix in some other DVDs just to keep my body guessing, but I know I'll keep coming back to yours because they are so effective.

  13. LINDSAY I am SOOO excited about this portal. That is TOTALLY what I think I need, I have been doing it on my own and not sure what I have been doing right or wrong.. So this would be fantastic.. I want to go tell the ladies on facebook to watch this ;) SOO excite :)
Your face looks a LOT skinnier (not that it was big with Harper, but its getting alot more narrow) and your thighs are looking good also, I can see daylight ;) (inside joke, but daylight has not been seen for YEARS on these babies! LOL) I am really glad that everyone struggles! :) it makes me feel more normal!

  14. Lindsay, it must have been absolutely devastating to experience that loss. Sharing your story took a lot of strength, and shows that you are both an amazing trainer and an incredibly loving mother. It is because of both of those that so many of us feel confident in what you teach while we also root for your successes as we work toward ours. Thank you for taking the time to make such a difference.

I think the portal would be amazing. Would it have the capability for personalization based on the needs of the user? Because that would be incredible. I am a runner, and would have a lot more faith in someone with your part partum expertise helping with my training plan than someone without that knowledge.

    Good luck this week!

  16. I love this. You can't imagine the looks I Get when I get women up to the bathroom right after delivery. People think they're gonna look like they did when they were 16. :)

    Let's just say they don't. :)

  17. As others have said I love your honesty and how you are so "relateable"! Maybe we could have a meet up of the moms that live in STL?! Maybe a mall or park so the kids can play and we can all talk!

I love the portal idea! Some days I just need someone to tell me exactly what to do!

  18. Lindsay, I feel like you hear from me a lot, no I promise Im not stalking...lol, I am just where you are, 3 little ones, 32 and want my body back....I love your honestly too and l love your passion for women and helping them lose weight and gain confidence about themselves!! 20. God bless you Lindsay! Thank you for being so transparent- I look forward to your blogs so much, they are so encouraging to me! My 2nd baby just turned 10 months and I am definitely battling the loose skin! I have been doing your workouts since right after she was born and they have gotten me back in shape sooooo much faster than after I had my first child- thank you!!!!!

  21. You rock! I had/am having the same problem with baby #3... and the scale not budging much since the birth 6 months ago. I work out, but am having trouble with eating discipline (especially treats at night). Please advise!

  22. You're an absolute doll! I've
been following you for a few weeks now and have told all of my mom friends about you. I'm pregnant w/ #2 and so excited to use your post-natal stuff...the portal would be AWESOME and I would sign up in a heartbeat. Thanks for being so honest and fun. You look fabulous!

  24. I am pregnant with baby #3 now and I love your blog! I get frustrated too on the path to loosing the baby weight in those weeks where you stay the same. Your progressions show how real you are. I am planning on doing your workout dvds during this pregnancy. Thanks so much for the motivation!

  25. I love the videos you post of the blog & your honesty. The 'portal' idea sounds fantastic! I NEED someone to tell me exactly what to do each day to work-out. Currently I'm stuck in a rut with 20 lbs of baby weight to lose from my 18 month old. I have the "self" from having a c-section and wrinkly loose skin that I desperately need to tone!! I can't wait to see what you come up with :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I am so glad I found you and your videos!! My husband and I are planning on trying for number 2 next month. Our daughter is 20 months and I have been pretty lazy since she was born. At first I used the c-section (breech) as my excuse and I went through these phases of acceptance of my "new" body. I got sick of how I felt so the past month I have just bit the bullet and started doing the elliptical as often as I can, at least 4-5 times a week. I just ordered your pregnancy workout package so I will be doing the Boot Camp 2 up until I get pregnant! I never liked workout videos because of the people in them and the way they spoke. You are such a normal person and you speak like you're talking to a group of friends! I can't wait to start using your videos, have a healthy pregnancy, and feel good after the next one is born! Thank you for being so real!

  27. Hi Lindsay!!

Thank you so much for being honest with us, thats the reason why i love coming here to see what you have to say, you are a mom and know exactly what it takes to "get our bodies back"

I am 10 months postpartum and 10kgs overweight (current weight 60kgs) which im planning on losing within 8 weeks. I walk 20 mins 5 times a week plus do Boot Camp 2 and CFS, but the scale and measurements are still the same.

What am i doing wrong? and what workout plan do you recommend for me to reach my target weight.

    Love you loads
    Eman

  28. My son will be 4 months on Tuesday and it seems for the last 2/3 weeks the scale has not moved. I feel my core getting tighter but there is this layer of fat over top that bothers me. 7lbs to my next goal weight and 10lbs to my pre-pregnancy weight which I know is great but I'm ready for it to go. I have 4 more days of the 8 week program for Boot Camp 2 and then I have to figure out what to do. So I am super excited for the new software. I also love the new facebook support group.

  29. There's nothing like reading all of your comments. I just love 'em. THANK YOU all for your kindness, us moms have to stick together!

So Eman, I think you should do a different cardio workout. The walking is probably not challenging enough - especially if you are doing the BC2 dvd. Click free workouts at the top of my blog and scroll down to the cardio workouts. There are a bunch of options and you can print the pdf version of the workouts.

  30. Becky, treats at night! There's nothing better after putting the kids down for bed! BUT it's a habit and it's time to break the habit. I unwind with some hot tea, vanilla carmel flavored and it hits the spot.

  31. Darla, I love the STL get together idea! I am totally swamped right now with preschool starting and trying to get these portals up and going. Between 9 am and noon picks ups everyday at preschool I am a mess with getting things done!

So would you like to put something together. Maybe at Des Peres park...or another "centralized park". And I will let everyone know on Facebook and my Blog. Maybe in October???

    ReplyDelete
  32. And yes, I will get a runners workout schedule put together for the portal.

I just finished putting together an outside cardio workout with cardio blocks and plyometrics. Its for an MP3 player - via smart phone, iPod or whatever - just listen as I cue sprints, walks and plyometrics. I did it at Taylor's soccer practice the other day when I didn't have time to fit in my workout.

Hopefully all the parents diidn't think I was too looney doing laps around the soccer field:)

  33. I'm pregnant with baby #3 and came across you just in time to keep me motivated. I worked out with my other 2 pregnancies but never got back into GREAT shape after 2 and so I"ve been stressed about my body "going to pot" this 3rd time around. It's good to be reminded to be real and do the work and to take care of myself. I just picked up your pregnancy DVD and did the first trimester workout this morning & really enjoyed it and worked up a sweat! I'll be keeping tabs on your progress and motivational videos. YOu are awesome! Glad to finally find an expert who's also a mom of many!

  34. The is awesome Lindsay if you give us a cardio workout outside and a runners schedule!! Let me know when you have it out.

  35. Hi Lindsay, I noticed on your FB page that you said that the previous workout downloads are no longer available - is this permanently? They are such great workouts. Will they be available to those who purchased the workout subscription before all the change or will they be taken away off of our account on you MIF webpage? Thanks!

  36. Hi Lindsay,

Absolutely love your honesty, heart and positive attitude. I'm only 8 weeks pregnant (figures crossed all goes well!) and I just picked up your DVDs to help me stay in shape through my pregnancy. I've only had the energy to workout one day this week - but I hope to be motivated this weekend!

Thanks again for the inspiration. And get some sleep!

    Cheers,
    Rebecca

  37. Lindsay!

I know you're busy, but I miss you :( hahahahaha!

So I think I've argued my case with DH and we plan on going for baby #3... I want to wait until early next year, but I'll be honest - I am scared $#!%less!!! did you get any stretchmarks on the 3rd? I have survived 2 so far without them... I'm also worried that I will not be able to get my body back... is this even possible? I mean if I put in the work, eat my cals etc.

I love your videos and I always look forward to coming here and reading/watching what you have to say and see where you are physically!

Take care and I'm sure you'll be back to update soon.

  38. Hey Lindsay, I am new to your site, but let me just tell you....you give me hope!!! I am 26 years old, 5'2 1/2" and about 118 lbs. My husband and I are newlyweds with no children, and we are planning to start trying for a baby come June of next year! I work out, but my body is definitely not where it needs to be. I am wondering what dvds or exercises you suggest to get me in baby-making shape?!? I want to be at my healthiest when we start trying, that way, it hopefully will carry over into the pregnancy! Thank you very much!!!! You are adorable, and I commend you for taking care of yourself!

  39. Hi Lindsay! I just had my 2nd baby July 12th (not too far behind you) and I am curious if you are nursing during this process? I am unsure where to start for fear of hurting my milk supply. (Which exercising may not change that at all). I noticed after my first that I had weight that hung around and finally started to shed once I stopped nursing at 6 months. It seems it is going to do the same this time around. I have been at 142 lbs since 2 weeks post partum. (I weighed 128lbs at 10 weeks pregnant but really need to be around 115-120.) So anyway, I'm just not sure where to start if I am still nursing. :)

    Thanks!

  40. @Katie,

Lindsay nursed all her babies for about 6 weeks (maybe a little over, possibly under with Harper).

On her momsintofitness.com there is a find your metabolism link... there you will find a calculator where you plug in your weight, height, age and it'll tell you how much to eat. You should add 500 cals if you're nursing. But also watch your supply. I did Lindsay's DVDs while nursing and I was eating 1750 cals per day, my milk was good, my body was changing and i was back to pre-preg weight in no time!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Vanessa, thanks for answering Katie's question! And I am sure moms love to read what you did and not always just what I recommend. So thanks! And P.S. you will NOT get stretchmarks with baby #3 if you didn't get them with the first 2...unless you gain 50+!

  42. Joanna and Melissa - I will keep you posted via Blog and Facebook on the new downloads. The running program and an outside cardio interval run mp3. And Melissa, at this time we have archived the old downloads but plan on selling them as a package once we launch the new software. So I will keep you posted. But you can always email Jess themoms@momsintofitness.com and check too (I am so behind on everything these days:)

  43. Jillain - good for you! Get your body in good shape now and it will be sooo much easier post-baby! Try Boot Camp - then when you are unsure if you are prego do the Pre-Pregnancy and 1st Trimester DVD. If you want - get the pregnancy pack - it has Boot Camp and Pre-Preg/1st Tri + 2nd and 3rd tris. Its also available as a download for your iPod or SMart Phone!

  44. Lindsay,
This is SO ENCOURAGING to read. I just had my fourth baby. I worked out with your DVDs through my whole pregnancy and saw awesome results, but now I was feeling like I would never get back to my regular self (I always feel that way). BUT THEN I came on your blog and saw these measurements, which are almost exactly the same as mine, and that makes me feel so much better. I'm 5 foot 6, so that translates to weighing over 150 lbs right now, which is so depressing, but I'm doing your postnatal bootcamp 2 pack, and I know it will pay off. I tell all of my friends about you. I even posted a link to this blog on my blog to make it easy for other ladies to find! Thank you!!! Keep up the great work!
