13 weeks Post-Baby #3

I finally gave in and bought stroller #6.  I really didn't want another stroller, but had to get it if I was going to squeeze in a workout or take the kids to the park that is a 1/3 mile away.  And geez - there are 2 options when it comes to a Triple Jogger - expensive and not as expensive.  I went with the less expensive version, and now have a non-swivel front wheel...ah well.  I am just glad 3 kids will stay seated for 20-30 minutes!

And I was elated when I got on the scale this past Monday.  It finally gave in and let me lose a few pounds!  Funny how that works...I worked out twice last week with all of our kids being sick.

  1. So I thought I left a comment on your last post but apparently got distracted. I just ordered your 60 day slim down. I'm excited and hope to see results. My son in 14 months and I can't seem to lose the last 5 lbs from pre preg weight. I'd also love to go a little past pre preg. My question is, I'm still nursing morning and night so should I drop calories to less than the 1800 rec for nursing moms where I'm only nursing twice a day?

  2. Kelly, it's such a good question! And here is what I would advise - trial and error. See how your milk supply does dropping to 1500. And see if it helps your last 5 pound loss. Try it for about a week, even less if you notice yoru milk supply depleting.

But on that note, some moms just don't lose the weight until they are totally done breastfeeding. Especially if you are small....yoru body is going to hang onto extra fat to make sure it has enough!

  5. Lindsay, you're such a "real" mom, thanks for letting us in our your life, other than just your workouts :) And you do look great btw, I am a little jealous of your triple stroller, but my daughter is getting better at riding her bike so that will have to do for now :) I just need a double and it will be great :)

  6. Hi Lindsay, I have another question about the workouts (downloads and dvds). I'm tempted to incorporate all (downloads and dvds - toning one day, cardio next for 4-5 times/week) but then I get caught up in the calendar you have at the end of the downloads. What should I do? I'm about 15 wks pp and have done 6 weeks of SF5 both workouts, PNBC, and some downloads. This week I did download 2 (HIIT Toning) and then Core Cardio and I'm tempted to do Old School or another download since I haven't tried them all yet but will I get as good results or should I stick to your calendars? Thanks Lindsay. I'm just curious to keep trying the downloads and like switching it up :) And I'm only 5 lbs away from pre-prego weight so far yay!! :)

  7. Oh and I would consider myself a 'vet' as I've been doing your workouts for over 2 years now :)

  8. Lindsay,
I just LOVE your blog and it has been such an encouragement to me! I am on baby #5 about 17 wks out now, and I have noticed with ALL mine that the weight doesn't start to fall off until past the 3 mos. mark (when the hairs starts falling out too ugh) Then it seems to drop like 3-4 lbs right away and steadies out 1-2 lbs a week if I watch nutrition too.

  9. So for the 60 day slimdown meal plan should I skip the extra snacks recommended for breastfeeding, and add it in if my milk depletes?

  13. Lindsay, your optimism is a breath of fresh air. I warched your IVF video and it made me appreciate that my husband and I have not had that particular difficulty in our lives. It helps give me perspective that maybe i can handle my plethora of stretch marks because they came with my beautiful princess who is a miracle because all babies are!

  14. Kelly, I think skipping 1 snack in the 60 Day Slimdown Breastfeeding Recommendations and seeing where your milk supply goes is a good idea. But only try that for a day or 2 to see if it has any affect. And let me know how it goes!

  15. Melissa, hey you! You are definitely in our vet category! Follow the calendar but feel free to plug a different toning workout on 1 day each week.

  16. The triple Stroller Review:

Mine was an impulse buy - wanted to go to the park one day and was frustrated I had to drive there! I went with the cheaper one since we have so many strollers already. Wish BOB made a triple jogger!

It's perfect, other than the fact that it is a fixed wheel, which makes it hard to turn. For me it works since I use it in my neighborhood and going to the park (which is only 2 turns). It's the Bebe - got it at Babies R Us online with free shipping. It was $499 while the other triple joggers I saw were $1000.

It's plenty big. My kids are 60th and 70th percentile for height (yes from my husband who is 6'4" not from my 5'1" frame) and Taylor, the 3 year old, has plenty of room to grow. Taylor and Rylan can crawl into it themselves. And there are 3 different reclining positions on each seat. It's heavy, 60 lbs I think. But mine just stays in my garage as of now.

Oh and the sunshade is awesome! There is a lip that hangs down so it covers everyone's eyes perfectly. But you can zip off the lip for days you don't need it.
