The number on the scale doesn't matter

With tears in my eyes, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have helped me find something I haven't had in a very long time : confidence. I have never been stronger or healthier and it's all because of the inner strength God gave me and the things you have taught me through your blog, site, dvds, etc.

I received this message last week and it brought tears to my eyes!  That's the truth, the scale doesn't matter, your confidence is what fitness is all about!  Just to feel good about yourself - to be confident again.

Not only did I want to share that message, I wanted to share Jessica's story.  She also happens to be the first MIF Mom of the Month!

Your workouts have honestly changed my life since I've had my two babies. I struggle with fertility (due to PCOS) and pregnancies were very difficult on my body, causing me to gain 100lbs each pregnancy among other things.

I'm now 16 months post partum from Baby #2 and I feel like a whole new woman as I've lost 100lbs and dropped 12 dress sizes. For the last 9 months I've been doing your workouts almost every day so you have been with me every step of the way so to speak. My 3 1/2 year old son is so used to your videos on my tv that he refers to you as my friend when he sees you. And truthfully I do consider you a friend for all that you have given me.

  3. What an amazing story!

Lindsay, I have a question. It says that Pretty Fierce is geared towards women who need to lose 10+ lbs. Because of your other DVDs (thank you!), I have only about 3 to lose with DS #3 (who is almost 6 months). How can I approach these DVDs with this caveat?

    1. What a good problem. Yay for you!

I think if you stick to the nutrition webinar and ignore the 2 week weight loss plan it will work evenly for you and help you lose the 3 lbs. You can also play around with your TDEE, which is the equation on page 1 of your packet. Let me know how it goes! And feel free to email us if you need more help along the way!

  6. I really love your blog! Lots of inspiration! I am a mother of two and I work more than full-time so I have a hard time finding time for my work outs. I have gained a lot of weight during pregnancy both times but managed to get it off. Now my youngest is five and I have gained weight again. I should probably weigh about 55 kilos to my 168 cm but I am above 70 kilos at this time. I have lost weight before so I know how to do it but I really want to get fit too. Not just thin but fit! I have two of your DVD's so I just have to kick myself in the butt :-) I have PCOS too and gone through IVF so I know all about that. I am 34 too but will turn 35 this year, crazy !! :-D
Is it possible to get that super fit just by working out at home? I find it so much easier than having to leave the house and go to a gym.

    1. It kinds depends what you have been doing. If you have been working out consistently I would go for Lean Out. If you have been "not as consistent" I would go for Weight Loss. Hope that helps!

  9. Wow! It's totally unbelievable solution for weight loss and I can't believe to see my own eyes. Is it really true that by implementing this can I reduce my weight? If it is then definitely I will do this. Actually already I am very much tired to implement lots of things for reducing my weight but yet I didn't get any benefit and that's really frustrating for me. So I don't know whether it will work or not but I will take this chance that's for sure and also looking to see good result

  12. This is such an inspiring story! Congratulations Jessica!! I am a mother of 4 who has been blessed with really never having to deal with being over weight but after my 3rd child and then my 4th found myself holding on to extra weight in the form of approximately 20lbs. My clothes weren't fitting right, I was feeling discouraged and didn't want my husband to see my "new" body. I also had a really hard time finding "the time" to work out. I work full time as a special education teacher and have 4 children currently ranging in age from 11 months to 8 years. In between work, dance class for my girls, religion, dinner, baths, bedtime I didn't think I had a spare minute to myself. Then I remembered Lindsay. After my 2nd daughter was born I found Lindsay's Post Natal Boot Camp DVD's and found a way to work them sporadically into my daily routine. I saw results then and was inspired to find them again now that we are officially done having children. I recently purchased and completed round one of Pretty Fierce Weight Loss. I chose to work out once my kids went to bed and lost 12 pounds in the past 60 days! I also lost 4 inches in my waist! In addition to the exciting weight loss I also have my confidence back and feel very motivated to keep on going! I was lucky enough to purchase Pretty Fierce Lean out at the same time as the weight loss set and am getting ready to begin this work out series on Monday. Moving ahead though I do have a few questions: should I do the two week meal plan again? And once I have completed this series, is there a maintenance calendar that exists that utilizes all of the great workouts that I now have between the two sets?

  13. Hi Lindsay.
All your you tube videos and workouts have been very useful.I had diastasis after two c-sections. After following your video for nearly 3 months i could see great results. Diastasis below the belly button has closed completely and it seem to be strong. The gap above belly button is almost closed, though not strong as lower abdomen. On the navel, the gap is 1 finger width. Initially, i had 2 finger width all over. But,my abdomen has not shrink not even an inch :( . In my self diagnosis i found that i may have epigastric hernia. I have a lump an inch or two above my navel, since my first pregnancy(7 years before). All these years i thought that lump to be Lipoma. Now i doubt if that could be epigastric hernia. Please let me know if i can follow those CFS method. Can i regain flat tummy again? Will CFS cause the hernia to enstrangle? Your advice on this will be appreciated.
    Thank you.

    1. Hiya! Let me see if I am reading your comment correctly. You have not lost any inches off of your waist? And you do not have a hernia or diastasis recti?

Have you gone to the doctor for the lump?

Shoot me an email at themoms@momsintofitness.com and we will take it from there!

  14. I had my second child 11 months ago. My children are my world and the best thing that's ever happened in my life so please don't get me wrong, but I'm extremely depressed over the way my body turned out after my second child. I knew something was wrong because I bounced right back with my first and he was 8lbs 14oz with my 2nd child I gained only about 25-30 as I did my first but he was 10lbs 6oz. I do have diastis recti but it is only about 2 inches not too bad and my surgeon seems to think I can take care of it with out any surgery. I wanted to see if you could suggest some of your workouts, but I also have an abdominal protrusion I cant even suck in my stomach any more and after I eat it gets bigger. Very depressing. Can you help? I have download all you MIF page on my ipad just don't know which ones to do and for how long. The one I have had been doing was only about 8 minutes long and didn't seem to be enough? I'm have a hard time with the protrusion of my abdominals and wondering if there is different exercises for that too? Help please!

    1. I am glad you expressed! You are equally as important as your kids:)

So it sounds like your doctor gave you the go ahead to exercise? If so, I would recommend either Postnatal Slimdown or Pretty Fierce Weight Loss. Both have a progressive core strength program. i.e. you start with core 1 and end with core 5

      I hope that helps!
